Stop Whaling Programme Lead

Astrid is the lead of WDC´s programme to end whale and dolphin hunting and trade in their products. She has a background in European Environmental Law and represents WDC in various international fora such as the meetings of the International Whaling Commission (IWC) or the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). One important part of her work is the development of campaigns and the dialogue with policy makers, politicians, industry and other NGOs. Astrid has been active in the field of animal rights and conservation since school. She started working with WDC in 2005 as a volunteer in the Scottish Dolphin Centre.
