Dolphin Defenders

Join Dolphin Defenders, our new challenge award especially for children who love whales and dolphins. It’s fun and easy to complete so why not get started today.

How do I get my Dolphin Defenders Award?

Simply complete one challenge from all three sections: Discovery, Fundraising and Action.

Discovery: Find out all about the wonderful world of whales and dolphins. Then complete the short quiz to test your knowledge.

Fundraising: Choose a challenge to raise money for WDC – we have lots of great ideas and some are very easy to do.

Action: Pick one or more of our Action challenges and play a part in protecting whales and dolphins.

6 example actions you can take to earn a Dolphin Defenders Award

  • Take part in a beach or river clean-up
  • Write a letter to a politician
  • Create a poster or display
  • Email questions to a local expert
  • Have a plastic-free birthday party
  • Go on a Whale SENSE accredited whale & dolphin watching boat

Your Dolphin Defenders Award Awaits!

Once you’ve completed the requirements from all three sections, ask an adult to help you send us confirmation that you’ve done them. Your confirmation could be a photo, an email, a drawing or a video – just so long as it shows or describes your activities.

We will then send you a Dolphin Defenders Award certificate.

If sending by email, please add Dolphin Defenders in the subject line. Alternatively, write to:
