BBC TV presenter accepts £25,000 donation by Animal Friends Insurance to help protect whales and dolphins

Leading UK-based Pet Insurer, Animal Friends Pet Insurance have once again committed to help fight the threats faced by whales and dolphins around the world by donating £25,000 to WDC.

The cheque was accepted in Bristol by BBC TV presenter, and patron of WDC, Miranda Krestovnikoff. Animal Friends was established in 1998 in order to donate funds to animal charities worldwide. So far, the company has done just that to the tune of £3.5m and today, 20 years on, they continue to honour that commitment by supporting a wide variety of animal and wildlife-focused charities both in the UK and internationally.

Upon accepting the cheque Miranda, who is a presenter on BBC’s The One Show commented: “This cheque is going to assist Whale and Dolphin Conservation’s work across the globe and help WDC fight hunting, cruel captivity and pollution, which all threaten the lives of these magnificent creatures each and every day”.

Animal Friends Pet Insurance (AFI), which is based in Wiltshire, is fully committed to an ongoing programme of donations to improve animal welfare around the world.

Managing Director of AFI, Westley Pearson, commented: “Through our donation to Whale and Dolphin Conservation we continue to commit ourselves to helping creatures like whales and dolphins worldwide through our charitable donations programme. When people choose to insure their pets with us, they can be assured not only of quality pet insurance and excellent customer service but also that their money is also being used to help these creatures both here in the UK and internationally”.
