New sperm whale stranding on UK east coast

The sperm whale whch stranded earlier today in Norfolk on the east coast of the UK has sadly died.

Coastguard officials and staff from the local Sea Life centre attended the scene along with a team from British Divers Marine Life Rescue.

Despite efforts to refloat the whale, it eventually died around 8pm.

This latest stranding brings the total to nearly 30 sperm whales that have stranded in the UK, France, Netherlands and Germany since the start of the year.
