Watching…Waiting…
Hi Everyone,
This is a difficult time for our dolphins at the moment as the early salmon run has pretty much stuttered to a halt. The dolphins are positioning themselves anywhere that they think migratory fish will run, like Zephyr and Scoopy here at Chanonry Point in the below photo. They are even coming through the area on a falling tide having a look for fish which is fairly unusual.
For this past week Kesslet has been mostly down in the Kessock Channel, Zephyr, Scoopy plus Bonnie and her calf are in the Chanonry Narrows and Charlie has been spending time by himself up in the Cromarty Firth. That is all the dolphins I have locally at present, dear old Jigsaw was seen near Burghead recently by supporter Adele Sutherland out in her Dads boat – thanks for the photo Adele and there are lots down near Aberdeen Harbour and even further south, near Scarborough on the Yorkshire coast. They get about a bit do our dolphins ! You can really help us do what we do by adopting a Bottlenose dolphin http://uk.whales.org/adoptions/dolphins or an Orca http://uk.whales.org/adoptions/orcas or by visiting our website here http://uk.whales.org/support-us
Best Wishes,
Charlie.
