South Atlantic Whale Sanctuary: one step closer

From March 19th to 21st in Praia do Forte, Brazil, WDC attended the South Atlantic Whale Sanctuary Workshop. Attending were the International Whaling Commission (IWC) Chair, the Hon. Jeannine Compton-Antoine (from St. Lucia) and representatives of Antigua & Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Gabón, Germany, Ivory Coast, México, Niger, Saint Kitts & Nevis, South Africa, Uruguay, United Kingdom and USA.

WDC was present at the workshop, arguing in support of this proposal which will be presented at this year’s IWC meeting in September in Slovenia.
