Japan Will Not Stop Whaling Says Minister

Despite criticism from around the world, Japan’s fisheries minister has recently stated that his country will never stop hunting whales.

Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi also said that whaling was part of a long historical tradition in Japan and that, as an island, it is important to take good protein from the ocean!

Japan hunts whales despite an international ban on commercial whaling by claiming that its hunts are for scientific reasons. Meat from these cruel hunts is, however, openly sold to consumers in Japan.
