South Korea To Stop Catching Wild Dolphins For Shows

According to the South Korea Ministry for Maritime Affairs, the country is to designate the Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin as protected and so ban the catching of these dolphins for use in captivity shows.

Sadly, the revised law would still authorise capture for research.

Despite the fact that Seoul’s main zoo agreed in March to suspend its popular shows, dolphins are still widely used for shows in South Korea.
