Game of Thrones star offers fans the chance to go ‘beyond the wall’ for WDC

Game of Thrones star, Jerome Flynn, is offering fans of the hit HBO TV series the chance to join him on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to visit iconic locations from the show to help raise funds for WDC.

The top prize in the sweepstake, run through online platform Prizeo.com, will see one lucky competition winner, and a friend, go ‘beyond the wall’; joining Jerome as his special guests on a trip to Iceland this June. As well as touring Game of Thrones locations with Jerome as their personal tour guide, the winner will also be treated to a private boat trip to one of the world's best whale watching spots, where they’ll have the chance to spot orcas, humpbacks, and sperm whales wild and free in their natural habitat.

Flynn, who plays the part of skilled mercenary, Bronn of the Blackwater, in Game of Thrones, is a long-term supporter of WDC.

‘As a passionate campaigner for whale and dolphin protection, I’m thrilled to be able to help WDC and offer someone the chance to join me touring some of the Game of Thrones locations in this beautiful country, and also to opportunity to see Iceland’s extraordinary wildlife up close’, says Jerome.

'It has long been a dream of mine to go to Iceland and I was always secretly praying that Bronn would make it North of the Wall. Of course that hasn't happened (yet!) so this trip is very exciting for me, especially as I will have the chance to see the whales in such a spectacular natural environment.'

There are also some great limited edition gifts on offer for fans who choose to buy multiple entries, including signed photos, limited edition campaign t-shirts and two tickets to the taping of Sky Atlantics fan show, Thronecast, as the guest of presenter, Jamie East.

WDC partnerships manager, Abbie Cheesman, added: ‘As well as being the setting for some of the most iconic moments in GoT, Iceland is also home to over 20 species of whales and dolphins. It’s not every day that we are able to offer the chance to go on an exclusive trip to one of the world’s most beautiful countries, let alone with Jerome as their guide! We are so grateful for Jerome’s continued support of our work helping to keep these magnificent creatures safe and free.’
