Mexico - government to introduce captivity legislation

Following the return to business of the FINS dolphin pen in La Paz, Mexico, environment minister Victor Lichtinger has announced his plans to introduce emergency legislation to help prevent further marine mammals facing the same fate. He spent last wednesday in negotiation with government officials hammering out new legislation on captivity. He also appealed to the international community to keep up the pressure on the owners of the Dolphin Learning Centre, known as FINS.
