The Moray Firth Dolphins Need YOUR Help !

Hi Everyone,

Scotland’s dolphins URGENTLY need YOUR help.

Yesterday, the Government announced that exploration for oil and gas is likely to be allowed for the first time in the area of the Moray Firth designated a sanctuary for the dolphins. This poses a huge threat to this vulnerable and isolated group of bottlenose dolphins - including WDCS's adoption dolphins.

Still Waters....

At long last the weather has calmed down and it's now dry and frosty. Being on watch for dolphins can have its ups and downs but to see sunrises like this one near Inverness lifts the spirits after weeks of grey and rain. I spotted Kesslet and her new baby where this photo was taken at North Kessock but elsewhere it has been very quiet with no other dolphins spotted by me.

Sightings Update....

Hi Everyone,

Winter is really closing in. The light is very grey and dolphins are getting harder to find. There have been some dolphins passing by every so often but normally quite far out to sea, but the other day a group came past a bit closer - sadly I couldn't tell if any were our adopted dolphins but I'll keep an eye out for any of the gang.

Seal of Approval...

Hi Everyone,

I'm just back from a VERY windy week away up in the very North of Scotland. I didn't see any dolphins while I was there (it's up near here that I think Sutor is hanging out) but what I did get to see and photograph were little newborn grey seal pups only a few hours old. Gorgeous or what?

Just to let you know....

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you know that I will be away for the next week on holiday. If you have posted a question or comment I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Best Wishes,

Charlie.
